United Methodist Youth Information

Meeting - Sundays from 5:30 - 7:30 pm

Our youth group is involved in many missions that the church sponsors as well as their own.
Here are some of the church sponsored missions the youth participate in:

FallFest - the youth volunteer for many tasks during this festival to make it a great time.
Youth Sunday - the youth lead a worship service at least once per year.
Relay for Life - the youth help to raise money and walk during the campaign.

Work Projects - the youth help in many work projects around the church and in the community, including work done to help Haw River Elementary. pictures
Visitation - the youth participate in visitation and services to nursing homes and shut-ins.

Here are some of their own fund-raisers and missions our youth are involved in:

SouperBowl of Caring - fund raiser on Superbowl Sunday to raise money to stop hunger.

Operation Sharehouse - Stop Hunger Now! - fund raiser and pack meals to go around the world to stop hunger.
Pasta Cookoff and Chili Cookoff - fund raisers for the youth fund and Allied Churches.
Pilgrimage - we trek to Fayetteville to participate in this large youth rally.  Pilgrimage pics here.

ACS - Annual Conference for UMY.
District Youth Rallys - Burlington disctrict rally at Cedar Rock Park and Camp Chestnut Ridge.

Christmas Caroling - we carol all of our elderly members at nursing homes and shut-ins.
Seniors Recognition Luncheon - we serve our elderly members lunch and talk to them about their life in the church.
